Can you cater for dietary needs?
Yes. Just let me know when you book and I'll pass the details on to the venues. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and most other dietary requirements are usually no problem.
Why are your local pickup tailored tours better than other wine tours to Clare?
The biggest difference is that you're already here. Instead of spending hours travelling to and from Adelaide, you can spend that time enjoying the Clare Valley. Because I'm local, I can also share the stories behind the old buildings, the wineries, and the people who shaped the region. We can visit places the bus tours often miss, and the day can be adjusted to suit your interests. Every tour is a little different. One day we might visit Wines by KT and Sussex Squire, another day it could be Grosset, Reillys, or Clos Clare. It depends on what you're interested in and what's open.
Why Choose a Group of Four Wine Tour in the Clare or Barossa Valleys?
A Group of Four tour is one of the best-value ways to explore the Clare or Barossa Valley. You have the vehicle and the day to yourselves, but you're sharing the cost with friends or family. It's popular with two couples, parents travelling with adult children, and groups of friends. There are no strangers on board and no need to follow a bus timetable. You can spend more time where you're enjoying yourselves and less time waiting for forty other people to finish tasting.
Can We Join from Adelaide?
Yes, although my tours are designed for guests staying in the Clare or Barossa Valleys. If you're visiting from Adelaide and would prefer not to drive, I can arrange private return transfers for an additional charge (Barossa only). Many guests find it much more relaxing to stay locally, but the option is there if you need it.
Can dogs go to cellar door tastings?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Many wineries are dog-friendly outdoors, but if food is served inside the tasting room there can be restrictions. That's why I created dedicated Dog-Friendly Tours. If you're travelling with a dog, just let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.
Why are Clare and Tanunda suggested as the best places to stay?
Because that's where the fun starts. If you're staying locally, you're already in wine country when you wake up. There are restaurants, cafés, cellar doors, wine bars, and plenty to explore before and after your tour. That said, you don't have to stay in town. Some of the best accommodation in both regions is tucked away among the vineyards or out in the countryside. If you've found a cottage with a view and nobody else around, you've probably done very well. I'll still collect you from the front door.
