About Valley Wine Tours
I'm Charles, your local guide. After many years living in the Clare Valley, I now live in Angaston in the Barossa Valley.
The wineries are part of the story, but so are the people who settled these regions and helped shape them. I guide tours throughout both the Clare Valley and Barossa Valley, starting in wine country rather than Adelaide.
Some guests want to ask questions all day. Others are happy to settle into the scenery and enjoy the wines. Either way is fine. The groups are small, the pace is relaxed, and there is only one tour each day. No buses. No rushing from stop to stop. Just a good day out in wine country.
A different way to explore wine regions
I created Valley Wine Tours to offer the kind of tour I'd enjoy myself.
Whenever I visit somewhere new, I want to spend time with someone who knows the place from experience. Someone who can explain why things are the way they are, and share the stories that don't appear in a brochure.
My background includes five-star hotels and wine sales. These days I get to combine both while introducing visitors to the Clare Valley and Barossa Valley.
